Abstract

“Wawa” is an animated graduate thesis film with a duration of 10 minutes and 5 seconds. “Wawa” is a personal portrait about death that follows the form of folk storytelling from the Andean Region of Peru. The story approach is realistic and optimistic with emotional touches.

This is a claymation and 2D animation film that was produced with Dragonframe and TV Paint software.

This thesis paper talks about the film’s creation process from my point of view, from the beginning of the story to the end of the film production. It’s about my motivations, influences, idea conceptions as well as obstacles, concerns and achievements. Also, it details each step of the animation technical process.
