Abstract

As singlehood rises around the world, a growing number of adults are asking an important question: What do single people actually need to live happy, satisfying lives? Popular stereotypes usually claim that singles are constantly searching for romance or that their lives are incomplete without a partner, but new research suggests something completely different. In fact, romance doesn’t even fall among the top three categories when it comes to priorities. So, what are singles really looking for, then?
