Abstract
After producing several short animated films of different moods and visual designs, I designed the thesis film production with the challenge of telling a longer, more complex story with themes of human connection. I curated the narrative as a slice of life, favoring a somewhat nonsensical series of events rather than a clean-cut narrative, but also sought to tap into the whimsical animated humor by incorporating fantastical elements such as a bear baby. These combined to create a film about not understanding everything, but being able to see what is necessary to help someone in need, told in a form that mirrored the meaning of the film.
